In this course the student develops a general understanding of early childhood pedagogy and preprimary education. The course includes planning pedagogical activities based on observation and guiding documents, as well as guiding and teaching individuals and groups of children. It will introduce transitions and cooperation in early childhood education and care, pre-primary and primary education. The student acts according to the ethical responsibilities of early childhood education and care teachers, reflects on his/her own practices and develops his/her professional identity in terms of theory and research. The student's learning process is guided in collaboration with the university's supervising teacher and a mentor in pre-primary education.
