Research Methodology, Part I, 5 cr

The module is completed as two separate courses which are focused on research methodology, data collection or research methods. The topics discussed on these courses may include survey research, registry research, interview research, evaluation research, discourse analysis, ethnography, conversation analysis, narrative research, multivariate analysis, action research, network analysis, comparative research and the use of data analysis software.

The courses provide support for methodological decision-making in the pro gradu thesis process, and during the courses, students can often work on data collection and data analysis for their thesis.
