In the course, the student studies the professional identity of early childhood education and care teacher, as well as multi-professional interaction and cooperation. The functions of educational organizations are examined, especially from the viewpoints of cooperation between professionals, relations with families, the objectives of early childhood education and care, and the child's well-being and learning. The student studies the formation of professional interaction, and the student´s professional expertise required in cross-sectoral work communities is developed. Furthermore, the child's individual early childhood education and care plan - including its planning - and the participation of families in developing ECEC are studied.
