Development and evaluation of theory-driven digital behavior change interventions, Distance teaching

Distance teaching (English)
20.9.2023 – 13.12.2023
Active in period 1 (1.8.2023–22.10.2023)
Active in period 2 (23.10.2023–31.12.2023)
The seminar will address two interconnected aspects of digital behavior change interventions (DBCIs): the theory-driven development and evaluation processes.

By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Operationalize the target behavior of interest and choose methods for its assessment (e.g., electronic diaries, wearable devices).
- Apply methods for defining and refining the evidence-informed intervention content.
- Develop an intervention timeline (i.e., provide temporal and logical conditions that describe how the intervention is expected to operate over time).
- Understand the specifics of key study designs and what kinds of research questions they can help answer.
- Decide what statistical analysis to apply, according to the specific research question(s) and selected study design.
