International outlook and global responsibility
The course is intended for Tampere University students acting as international student tutors for new international students. An international tutor is a peer instructor for a new student and helps the new student to integrate into the new culture, the student community and studies. Tutoring is at its most active during the first weeks of the semester but continues throughout the academic year/semester.

Studies that include this course
Completion option 1
International student tutors will be expected to answer self-reflective questions analysing their work as tutors and their learning, and respond to a feedback survey, based on which they will receive 2 ECTS credits and compensation for their expenses. The credits can be awarded once only. You may also receive a certificate for each semester during which you have served as an international student tutor.
