Core Content

· Lectures and practical exercises with CAD systems.

· Familiarization with computer-aided design (CAD). CAD software and related hardware for design.

· Creating unambiguous and high-quality 3D models of parts and assemblies needed for product development.

· Utilizing 3D models in the product development and manufacturing process. Using 3D models for communication with various stakeholders.

Complementary knowledge

· Feature-based modeling, parametric models, simulation, parametric equations.

· Direct modeling, surface modeling, sheet metal modeling.

· Visualization of models.

· Manufacturing costs of the structure.

· Component libraries in modelling projects.

Specialist knowledge

· 3D model configurations and configuration management with tables.

· Transferring models between different systems such as CAD systems, structural analysis and optimization software, and manufacturing process software like CAM and AM.
