· Corrosion properties of materials, including metals and alloys, ceramics, polymers, and composites. Corrosion and wear monitoring and prevention techniques.

· High-temperature oxidation and corrosion mechanisms.

· Wear mechanisms at various temperatures. Wear and friction properties of engineering materials, including metals and alloys, ceramics, polymers, and composites. Wear testing and prevention of wear. Mechanical degradation mechanisms and performance of polymeric materials.

· Chemical, electrochemical, and mechanical degradation types affecting the performance of engineering materials.

· Thermodynamics and kinetics of electrochemical corrosion of metals and alloys. Degradation mechanisms and performance of polymeric materials. Corrosion of ceramic materials.
