Opintojaksolla tutustutaan keskeisiin persoonallisuutta käsitteleviin psykologisiin teorioihin ja persoonallisuuspsykologiseen tutkimukseen. Jaksolla tarkastellaan persoonallisuuden eri käsitteitä ja ilmiöitä sekä kliinisestä että tieteellisen tutkimuksen näkökulmasta. Jaksolla tutkitaan persoonallisuuden biologista pohjaa, taipumuksellisia piirteitä, tyypillisiä sopeutumistapoja ja tarinamuotoista identiteettiä.
