Learning outcomes
After completing the Master’s programme in architecture, the student is able to:
- take responsibility for one’s self-development and the development of one’s professional architectural skills
- perceive the architects’ responsibility towards society, nature, built environment, client and users within the framework of holistic sustainability
- critically and systematically apply knowledge from the field of architecture and of other related disciplines in one’s own work
- apply architectural design and research methods and theories and use scientific working methods
- see the bigger picture and its constituent parts as well as the interrelationships between them, and to apply this knowledge in connecting different factors into architectural concepts and design approaches
- creatively and sustainably pose and solve problems on multiple scales while acknowledging the interrelationships of nature, built environment and users, as well as functional, spatial aesthetical, technical and regulatory requirements
- justify and present chosen solutions in writing, verbally and visually
- actively use interaction, language and networking skills in multidisciplinary and multicultural contexts
- follow and critically evaluate the national and international development of the field of architecture
- practice architecture independently and responsibly and critically evaluate one’s own work
