Career counselling

During your studies you may run into questions about your future career plans. The teachers and coordinator of your degree programme are there to support you and the Career Services can also help you with these questions.

Individual career counselling session

An individual career counselling session is a private talk with a career counsellor about career issues. These may have to do with for example recognizing your skills, different job options you may have, career decisions, finding or applying for an internship, approaching graduation, finding employment or growing into a professional.

The service is meant for Tampere University degree students, who are thinking about career perspectives or are about to set their first steps into working life. The service is free of charge.

A career counselling session is a private talk, where your individual situation and questions are leading. The counsellor can support you in finding answers, finding and achieving your career goals and in recognizing your strengths or improving work life skills

Book a time for career counselling

The career counsellors at Career Services are using an on-line booking system (Bookings). 

In most cases we would recommend you to book an appointment for an hour. If you have a very limited topic to discuss like feedback on your CV, half an hour will do. For the time being we are offering remote counselling only.

When you have chosen the right type of an appointment the system will offer you available slots and counsellors that are available then.

The booking system requires your email address, information on your degree programme and a short description of your situation.

When you have completed your booking you will receive a confirmation email and a link to the Teams meeting. If you have any question you can also reach the counsellors at careercounselling.tau [at] tuni.fi (careercounselling[dot]tau[at]tuni[dot]fi).
