As a student ambassador you will have an important role in in marketing our degree programmes, Tampere University and the city of Tampere. Becoming a student ambassador is a fantastic opportunity to improve your communication skills, create networks and to acquire working life skills. Our student ambassadors are active both on campus and online.
Why should I become a student ambassador?
Student Ambassadors act as a link between Tampere University and the outside community. Your job as a Student Ambassador is to promote Tampere University and Tampere as the best place to study and live by using and sharing your own experiences. The position offers both paid and volunteer-based activities.

We recruit new Student Ambassadors yearly. Application period to become a student ambassador in academic year 2024-2025 is 15 May - 6 September. Do note that only students registered as present can take part of the activities. You will need your student user account (TUNI account) to be able to fill in the form. What is it like to study and live in Tampere? What are university studies like? What is it like to live in Finland as an international student? Social media plays an important part of being a student ambassador. Our aocial media ambassadors, ie the content crew consits of both international and Finnish students. As s content crew ambassador you have a chance to write blog texts and create content to Tampere University Instagram, Weibo and WeChat. Content crew ambassaors will be selected based on the work samples and previous experience. Content crew ambassasdors take part of monthly editorial meetings.

Trainings for ambassadors
All student ambassadors will receive compulsory training for their work as ambassadors. Trainings are organised at the beginning of each academic year. We will provide our student ambassadors with all printed and online materials. We will also invite you to use the Unibuddy platform for discussions with potential applicants. Trainings for student ambassadors 2024-2025 is organised 17-18 September 2024, including a short basic training and a content crew training together with opiskelijalähettiläät. All trainings are mandatory and a prerequisite for taking part in the student ambassador activities. More information on the trainings is sent for the selected students.
