Oma esittely

I currently work as Senior Lecturer in Finnish Literature at Literary Stuedies and Postdoctoral Researcher at Narrare: Centre for Interdisciplinary Narrative Studies at Tampere University, Finland. I hold a PhD in Literature, and a Title of Docent in Literature at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland.

My post-doctoral research focuses on the conteporary Finnish experimental novel from three perspectives:

1) The places, forms, and value of a book object (codex) in digital environments

2) The role of the author in these conceptions

3) Fictional narrative representations and variations of the concept of democracy

The topic of my doctoral thesis (University of Jyväskylä, 2020) was the experimental poetics of the contemporary Finnish novel Neuromaani by Jaakko Yli-Juonikas, especially the materiality and paratextuality of the book. 

 

Osaamisalueiden kuvaus

The areas of my expertise include experimental literature, poetics, contemporary Finnish novel, theories of transtextuality, new materialism, affects, book objects, intermediality in literature, literary experiments and avant-garde, and (print) literature on digital platforms.
