The Emergence of Health and Life Science Innovations -research project investigates the processes and mechanisms through which new life science and health innovations develop. The project examines different types of emerging innovations as well as the actions and experiences of the experts, academic entrepreneurs in the making, who engage in the translation of academic discoveries to products with commercial potential.
The project has received three-year funding from the Foundation for Economic Education.
Our team consists of the principal investigator Associate Professor Elina I. Mäkinen, Postdoctoral Researcher Aurélie Toivonen, and Postdoctoral Researcher Terhi Esko.
