Installing software on your computer

Staff and students can download a range of software on their own personal computer for teaching, learning and research purposes. For example, you can download and install Microsoft 365 to your personal laptop without a charge.

• Please note that as a rule, work documents or materials are not allowed to be processed on a personal machine at all. See instructions: Own computer in work (tuni.fi)
• Software for study, teaching and research purposes is not allowed to be used for commercial purposes.
• Software installed on the student's own computer must not be installed on computers owned by others.
• Please always keep in mind the Security on your own computer. 

You can find software that is allowed to download to your personal laptop from Software Catalog with the filter Usage -> Student BYOD. The page of individual software tells the details: a download link and also possibly the required installation code.
