I woke up at six a.m. from my comfy pink inflatable sofa and changed my pajamas to the top coat, my favorite piece of clothing. Just like every other morning, I made some tasty green tea, sat on my favorite chair, the arcade seat, and started reading a book, y’all. Y’all is actually a word I often use at the end of sentences as it fits my mouth. I am currently reading the Fossil Murders, a thrilling detective story recommended by our Resident Representative and my only human neighbor Bam, y’all. It seems I fell asleep at some point since I woke up at around nine a.m. when Bam came to visit. I love to chat with Bam, and he usually has some sort of gift. This time, I received a pineapple aloha shirt, y’all. I was shocked at first, but after trying it on, I really loved the color of it and even gave a gift in return – full-body tights. Bam did not instantly wear it, but I hope I chose the clothing well. As soon as Bam left, I went outside because the sun was shining, y’all.
The weather was fantastic, with the sun shining and snow on the ground, just like every other day at this time of the year on the tropical island, y’all. To begin, I started walking towards the central plaza. After crossing the log bridge, I met Maple, a bear cub with similar interests, and decided to chat, y’all. Maple was reading a book I had already finished. It seems that I spoiled the book by accident as Maple became annoyed, but I let the thing be for the time being. At the plaza, I realized that it was my turn to clean the trash and began straight away. I really love cleaning, although I worry about dust in my home quite a lot, y’all. After cleaning, I wanted to reward myself by visiting shops, as I had some Bells, a currency used on our island, to spare.
At the Nook’s Cranny, a general shop on our island, I was so fascinated by the items that I inspected them for a couple hours, yet I didn’t end up buying anything, y’all. This continued on the other side of the street at the Able Sisters, a clothing shop, from where I also did not buy anything because the clothes on display did not match my style. At last, I visited the Roost café located at the local museum. It is a usually quiet place, although Wilbur, the pilot of Dodo Airlines, was now visiting. It reminded me that I have to book a trip to the resort where Bam is currently working, y’all. I drank a coffee blend that I also have enjoyed in my previous hometowns; It was delicious as ever. Before long, I realized that I had spent much time on my trip and decided to head back home, y’all.
The trip to home was not quick as, on my way, I heard a music player near the plaza playing my favorite song: Forest Life. I sang along with it until Patty, an energetic cow resident, waved at me, y’all. Patty actually has lived on the island almost as long as I, but this time did not want to chat. I also watered some yellow roses, my favorite flowers, near my home as no one had taken care of them for a while. I then finally arrived home, y’all.
The mail had just come in. Alongside letters from my neighbors, there was a mysterious package in the mail, and I opened it to discover the wrestling singlet, y’all. The mail service had messed up the addresses as the receipt had the name of Fang, the old but sweet wolf who lives on the other side of the island. I, therefore, repackaged the gift in white and blue wrapping and will deliver it to Fang later. Before doing anything else, I heard a gentle knock on the door, y’all. Occasionally self-centered but still a friendly deer Diana came to visit. Diana walked around my house while looking at items, and I followed her smiling, which I like to do every time I have a visitor. The visit was fun, although Diana sat on the floor most of the time and did not chat. Diana soon left, and I started my do-it-yourself project of the day: cutting board, as I needed a new one, y’all.
Soon the clock was already close to eight p.m., so I decided to head out again. The sky was fabulous as there were northern lights, just as the weather forecast had told. Again, I started heading to the plaza. This time I went through the woods to collect wood for the do-it-yourself stuff, y’all. I also stumbled upon the shy bug enthusiastic lizard Flick, who purchases bugs for extra Bells. The only bad thing is that I can’t catch bugs. I can sneak on them, but unfortunately, they escape before I get to capture them, y’all. I was just starting my daily yoga on the plaza when Bam again came out of his massive house and arranged the group stretching. I decided to join it alongside Fuchsia, a tough but friendly deer, and Julia, a sometimes arrogant but still polite ostrich. The boat driver turtle Kapp’n, Flick, Nook’s Cranny seller raccoons Timmy and Tommy, and Able Sisters dressmaker hedgehog Sable also joined in. Stretching was fun, although I did not stay in rhythm, at least compared to Bam, y’all. Then, the fight with Maple really started worrying me, as I was planning to give a bear costume as an apology gift, but I did not dare to do it. My thinking was interrupted by Bam, who wanted to deliver a gift to Maple. As it was late, I was surprised when Bam soon returned and told me that the present had already been delivered, and Maple even adored it, y’all. This time I asked our Resident Representative about reading books. I love reading and was surprised that Bam likes it also, y’all.
Then, midnight, the time I go to sleep was approaching, and I decided to head home to relax. It again took some time to arrive home, as I explored and found good places to sit around the island, y’all. At home, I instantly changed into my pajamas as I was going to bed in 30 minutes. I read a detective book I had borrowed from the library and drank sweet green tea, y’all. The book was fascinating until I discovered the paper left by the previous reader. It had a reader suggestion about the identity of the murderer in the book. I was disappointed when the prediction came true, y’all. Now before sleeping, I am writing this diary entry with my ballpoint pen, which makes me appreciate the writing. I hope that I will have a bright future on this island, although my throat feels sore, so I hope not to be sick tomorrow, y’all!
