  • Instrumentational features of DSC and TGA, working principles, and safety issues behind the methods and measuring techniques.
  • Basic training with the devices and the software.
  • Interpretation of the dynamic and isothermal curves.
  • Applications.

  • Lectures also cover the principles of calibration of DSC.

The estimated total work load for the student is ca. 50 h, of which ca. 8 h is needed for the compulsory preparative exercises before the laboratory work, ca. 4 h for one laboratory session, and 3 h to the exam.
