- Power quality fundamentals, terms and definitions, power quality standards and recommendations, power quality management principles
- Flicker and rapid voltage changes: measurement methods, causes and mitigation methods
- Voltage Dips: characterization, causes, computational evaluation, effects and mitigation
- Harmonics, interharmonics and supraharmonics: measurement methods, causes and effects, resonant effects
- Power concepts and reactive power: causes and management, active and passive solutions for reactive power compensation and filtering
- Power supply interruptions: monitoring and statistics, causes, mitigation
- Electric and magnetic fields: basic theory, measurement and assessment, effects and mitigation methods
- Measurement and monitoring of power quality: basic theory (sensors, sampling and quantizing the sensor signals), hardware and software tools used in power quality investigations and assessment, utilization of power quality data
