The Finnish Education and Schooling System, 5 cr

The course gives a holistic picture on the Finnish education system and the types of steering powers that govern it. The system is contextualized in an international and transnational policyfield.

The contents touch upon issues of the historical development of the Finnish education system; actors in education policy such as political, administrative and other organisations, education institutions and organisations; steering by legislation, economy, ideology, and quality assurance and evaluation.
