Writing Research Grant Proposals course introduces doctoral researchers to research funding and proposal writing, which is an essential skill for academics. In the course, participants learn about the national and international research funding landscape, the basic structure and terminology of grant applications and how to communicate their motivation, state-of-the-art, objectives, methodology, work plan, and schedule for the study. Doctoral researchers reflect on the medium and long-term effects of their planned research and receive information on the cross-cutting issues of funding applications.  

There are two possibilities in studying this course:

  • Option 1: Online course (materials and exercises in Moodle and Teams), together with introduction lectures (1 ECTS)

  • Option 2: Online course (materials and exercises in Moodle and Teams), together with introduction lectures and small group teaching (incl. pre-assignments) (2 ECTS)
