Opintojaksolla perehdytään interpersonaalisen viestinnän teoriaperustaan, käsitteistöön ja keskeisiin ilmiöihin. Opiskelija tutustuu läheisten ja ammatillisten vuorovaikutussuhteiden erityispiirteisiin sekä vuorovaikutussuhteiden rakentumiseen ja ylläpitämiseen sekä kasvokkais- että verkkoviestinnässä. Interpersonaalisen viestinnän tutkimustietoa sovelletaan erilaisten vuorovaikutustilanteiden ja -suhteiden analysointiin.
