- Thermodynamics and kinetics of phase transformations. Diffusional phase transformations. Precipitation: mechanisms of nucleation and nucleus growth. Diffusionless phase transfomations: massive and martensitic transformations. Bainitic transformation
- Classicall heat treatments and their effect on structure and properties
- Solidification, principles of nucleation and nucleus growth.
