- Ympyräsylinterisauvan (akselin) vääntö. Ohutseinäisen ontelosauvan vääntö. Suoran sauvan nurjahdus.
- Jännitystilan yleinen käsittely. Kolmiulotteisen ongelman pääjännitysten laskeminen.
- Lujuusopin peruskäsitteet. Lineaarisesti kimmoisen materiaalin jännitys-venymäyhteys.
- Suoran sauvan keskinen veto- tai puristus. Suoran palkin taivutus päätasossaan.
