  • Sources of noise and interference. Elimination or minimizing noise coupling in medical electronic systems.
  • Interfacing the medical devices with the human body: biopotential electrodes and recording of biopotentials.
  • Measurement principles used in bioelectrical, hemodynamic and respiratory monitoring.
  • Structures of the circuits used in biomedical measurement systems.
  • Electrical safety requirements and design of electrically safe medical devices. 
  • Computer-aided design in PCB schematics and layout design for the analog electronics needed in a biopotential amplifer
  • Assembling the designed device
  • Testing and characterization of (the designed) electrical circuit
  • Reporting the experimental results

  • Protection of electronic devices against transient voltages and electromagnetic interference.
