Ääntämisen opintojaksot I ja II ovat vapaaehtoisia, ja ne voi suorittaa missä järjestyksessä tahansa. Ääntämisestä voi suorittaa kokonaisuudessaan 2–5 opintopistettä tarpeen mukaan. Opintojaksossa harjoitellaan suomen kielen ääntämisen erityispiirteitä opiskelijoiden tarpeen mukaan. Viiden opintopisteen suoritukseen sisältyy pieni itsenäisesti suoritettava harjoitustyö.
