The section presents the fundamental questions of cultural philosophy and of philosophy of art, as well as the principal historical formulations of aesthetics. It presents the man-made world both as the culture that forms the human being and as the culture that is formed by him/her, and examines the historical constitution of meaning and sense. Philosophy of art examines art's place in a culture, and studies the fundamental concepts of aesthetics (e.g. beauty, work, artist, creation, critique).
