Opintojaksolla tutustutaan keskustelun- ja tekstintutkimukseen. Käsiteltäviä aiheita ovat esimerkiksi keskustelun perusjäsennykset, tekstilajit ja vuorovaikutuksen ja tekstien multimodaalisuus. Olennainen osa kurssia ovat harjoitukset, joiden kautta opitaan analysoimaan kirjoitettuja tekstejä ja puhuttuja vuorovaikutustilanteita.
