Learning outcomes
- Aside from the specific learning outcomes of the specific Majors, after completing the Degree Programme in Biomedical Sciences and Engineering, leading to the degree of Master of Science in Technology,
- Students are able to understand the challenges in the fields of biomedical and health sciences.
- Students have obtained strong knowledge and deep understanding of Biomedical Sciences and Engineering and can demonstrate their ability to extend their knowledge independently.
- Students are able to design and carry out a research plan to test hypotheses, to analyze and interpret the results in the context of the research, and to report the results according to scientific principles, requirements, and ethics related to engineering and life sciences.
- Students have developed interpersonal skills to work individually or as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, in close collaboration with clinicians, biologists and engineers, in academic and industrial (R&D) environments.
- Students can apply advanced methodologies at the engineering and health sciences interface, to solve challenges.
- Students possess communication skills, both oral and written; thereby students will be able to take part in social debates pertaining to their field of studies or to write / present technical reports. The students will have the ability to address complex problems / solutions to both a general audience and their peers.
- Students can demonstrate critical thinking and show professionalism in view of their integration to the industry, hospital or continuation in pursuing a postgraduate degree.
- Students have leadership skills, for example are able to manage own and/or others work in goal-oriented manner in working life.
- Students have project management skills and are able to act in different roles in a project, for example as a leader.
