Programme description

The effects of global phenomena affect wellbeing and health in both the global South and the global North, transforming the way we work for health both at national and international levels. Therefore, in our programme we offer a unique opportunity to study the intertwined disciplines of public and global health. Students will be equipped with the necessary expertise, skills and tools to work in the complex setting of contemporary and emerging health challenges.

The integrated programme in public and global health is tailored to emphasize interdisciplinary studies in health sciences and social sciences. The students engage with grounding in all of the core disciplines of public health - epidemiology, health promotion, health policy, health protection and security, health-systems, and health economics. They will grow their expertise in global health policy and dynamics of multilevel and intersectoral health impacts and governance. The elective courses offered enable students to engage deeper on public health courses on mental health and sustainable food systems as well as on research methods in biostatistics and epidemiology.
