Learning Outcomes

After finishing the course the student is able to specify the purposes of the packaging of different products. He/she is able to identify demands that different products place on the packaging materials and packages and how different materials/packages comply with these demands and he/she is also able to compare different material and package alternatives in relation to their technical and economic efficiency in the packaging process. The aim is that the student is able to connect the theory and packaging solutions in practice. Laboratory demonstrations will be included in the course.
