Students in the basic cycle of Factory Automation studies will learn general engineering practices as well as essential knowledge on how to model and control manufacturing systems. Additionally, special focus will be given to the important role of applied Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and the new automation solutions that are enabled by its use. Students graduating from the basic cycle will have gained sufficient knowledge to work for manufacturers or industrial automation suppliers, as well as the prerequisites leading to specialization stages in the discipline.
