Learning outcomes

After completing this course successfully you will have obtained an understanding of common signal processing, signal analysis, and signal interpretation methods in today's health care and wellness applications. You have also got practice in processing and analysis of common physiological signals with Matlab.

Content

1. Physiological signals, their properties, data acquisition and sampling.      
2. Digital filters: linear and adaptive filters.     
3. Spectral analysis of biosignals.      
4. ECG and EEG signal processing and analysis      
5. Computer exercises with Matlab and demonstrations.     


Evaluation criteria for the course

Final exam 80% and computer exercises 20%

Assessment scale:

Numerical evaluation scale (1-5) will be used on the course

Partial passing:

Completion parts must belong to the same implementation
