Description:
UBINET seminar on Human Computation (Crowdsourcing) in UX. This seminar specifically addresses the use of human computation, i.e., crowdsourcing in UX (user experience) studies. Seminar introduces the participants to the theoretical background and basic issues related to using crowdsourcing generally, and specifically in case of UX studies. The emphasis is on empirical work, i.e., planning the study, implementing it, reporting the results and experiences of using crowdsourcing. The findings are presented at the seminar. A UX study of an existing or concept/prototype of a product, service, or application is carried out in small groups using crowdsourcing. The seminar is intended for Doctoral and Master level students with background in user or customer experience of technology, products, services, or applications. The seminar is graded passed/failed. The seminar is open to a minimum of 12 students of UBINET doctoral training network, TUT, UTA and other partnering universities. Seminar dates: Wednesdays 16.3, 6.4 and 27.4 14-16
