The Tampere University of Technology (TUT) offer the degree of Bachelor of Science in Technology/Architecture (tekniikan kandidaatti) as the lower university degree, the degree of Master of Science in Technology/Architecture (diplomi-insinööri/arkkitehti) as the higher university degree, and the postgraduate degrees of Licentiate of Science in Technology (tekniikan lisensiaatti), Doctor of Science in Technology (tekniikan tohtori), and Doctor of Philosophy (filosofian tohtori).
The studies leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Science in Technology, Master of Science in Technology and Master of Science in Architecture are planned and arranged in the form of undergraduate programmes. The studies leading to the degrees of Licentiate of Science in Technology, Doctor of Science in Technology and Doctor of Philosophy are planned and arranged in the form of doctoral programmes.
The degree of Bachelor of Science in Technology/Architecture is conferred upon completion of the following six programmes: Architecture, Business and Technology Management, Civil Engineering, Computing and Electrical Engineering, Engineering and Natural Sciences, and Engineering Sciences.
The degree of Master of Science in Technology/Architecture is conferred upon completion of the following thirteen programmes: Architecture, Automation Engineering, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental and Energy Technology, Industrial Engineering and Management, Information and Knowledge Management, Information Technology, Management and Information Technology (Pori Department), Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Science and Engineering.
Students admitted to the Degree Programme in Science and Engineering may obtain teacher certification by completing advanced studies in the field of natural sciences and therefore be qualified to teach physics, chemistry, mathematics and information technology.
