Learning Outcomes

When passing the course student knows common methods for monitoring the running of machinery. He can apply the methods in right way in order to get reliable measurement and analysis results. He can plan the measurement action, choose right measurement and analysis methods, measurement equipment and can define measurement settings. Student becomes acquainted with ready-for-use measurement instruments and soft ware and he also can implement a personal measurement environment with graphical programming software. He knows standardized machinery operation monitoring methods and becomes acquainted with modal and operation deflection shape analyses methods. The course concentrates mainly on machinery vibration, but also strain measurement and sound monitoring methods are handled.
