Requirements

The course is completed by passing the simulation exercises and/or the final exam.

Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to develop a dynamic model of a DC machine, a synchronous machine and an induction machine by using space vector theory and implement the model into Matlab Simulink. Students will learn the control methods of electric motor drives (scalar control, DTC, vector control). Students will be able to develop the direct vector control of the machine and implement the control system into Matlab Simulink. Students will test the operation of the developed control system and induction machine model in the laboratory.
