The module introduces students to various channels of political participation, with particular focus on the challenges facing representative democracy in the new millennium.
Contents
The module examines both conventional forms of participation, voting and activity in political parties, and the role of social movements, interest groups, and the Internet as alternatives to the formal institutions of representative government.
