Units and opening hours
Tampere University Library produces library and information services for students, researchers and staff of the Tampere higher education community. We also serve customers outside the academic community. Library services are provided at four locations.
Exceptions to opening and service hours
30.4.–1.5.2026
- All library units will close at 16.00 on 30.4. and will be closed on 1.5.
- No access with key card
- Also the reading room at Linna is closed
2.–3.5.2026
- Arvo and Linna units are open with normal opening hours
- Arvo unit and the reading room at Linna are open with key card from 8.00 on 2.5.
- Hervanta unit is closed, no access with key card
- The unit will open again at 8.00 on Monday 4.5.
- TAMK unit is open with key card according to the building's opening hours

Library units
Arvo self-service unit
The Library is located at Arvo building on Kauppi campus. Arvo has materials on medicine, biomedical sciences, and health sciences.
Hervanta
The Library is located at the 0 floor of Kampusareena on Hervanta campus. Hervanta has materials in various fields of technology, architecture, natural sciences, economics and management.
Linna
The Library is located at Linna building on the City centre campus. Linna has materials on management, education, communications, business and social sciences.
TAMK
TAMK unit is located at TAMK Main campus on Kuntokatu in Kauppi. The unit has materials from all fields included in TAMK's degree programs, especially materials in the fields of technology, social and health care, business administration and music.
