Tasks

I work as a Research Specialist in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology (MET). I participate in the development and support of research in the MET-faculty in close cooperation with the Vice Dean of Research and specialists of different areas. Furthermore, the Research Specialists from all seven faculties of Tampere Univeersity form a team that communicates and transfers best practices over faculty borders. 

My tasks include:

• strategic planning of research in cooperation with the Vice Dean of Research - including related coordination and implementation tasks
• collecting and communicating information related to research
• development of supportive concepts and structures for applying external funding and aiding researchers in preparation of large funding proposals in cooperation with university's research services
•  increasing the visibility of the faculty and its research
• strengthening and maintaining the networks and partnerships of the faculty
• processing the research permit applications and requests to discole data related to the faculty 
• processing the requests for opinion adressed to the Data Access Committee, DAC
• participation in the organization of faculty-level events
