Call for Applications for Tampere IAS Research Fellowships is open

Tampere IAS offers the best researchers an opportunity to focus on their research without interruption, which enables them to advance to the next level in their career.
Tampere IAS supports the scientific quality of research at Tampere University.
“The best way to enhance scientific quality is to offer enthusiastic researchers a chance to concentrate on their research full time” says Juha Teperi, Director of Tampere IAS.
“We will let our Research Fellows work in peace, but we also understand that one research period is a short time in a researcher’s life and the dynamics of research. We also offer our Fellows a longer perspective to career planning,” Teperi adds.
During the Fellowship, the Fellows are both researchers at the institute and members of a given faculty. Tampere IAS supports the Fellows through mentoring, peer support, monthly colloquia and covering reasonable research costs.
The Selection Committee consisting of twelve Tampere University’s professors will shortlist close to one hundred researchers whose applications will be sent for international review.
The selection decisions are expected to be finalised in mid-May. The positions will be filled as of 1 September 2024.
