The theme of the celebratory seminar is education and it will include a look at the 50-year history of the education field in Tampere.

The Faculty of Education of the University of Tampere started its operation in August 1974. At the same time, the Tampere Teacher Training School became part of the Faculty. Since then, the faculty has undergone many changes. The Language Centre, which joined the faculty in 2021, started its activities at the beginning of 1976.

At the end of the event, we will celebrate the faculty's journey with coffee and cake in the foyer of the Main auditorium.

There will be a free guarded cloakroom in the main lobby for the duration of the event. The dress code for the public is casual dress. 

The event will be simultaneously interpreted into English. The number of headsets is limited to 20.
