Opening ceremony of the academic year 2024–2025 of Tampere University

Welcome to the Opening ceremony of the academic year 2024-2025 on Tuesday, 3 September at 12.30. The event will be celebrated again as a public event, in the City centre campus.

Dress code for the audience: informal dress

Academic procession:

The ceremony will begin with an academic procession entering the Main auditorium, accompanied by music.  This year’s procession will be divided into faculties, with each dean leading the professors from their respective faculties into the venue. Assistant professors, associate professors, emeritus/emerita professors and professors of practice are also invited to join the procession. Professors register for the procession by filling out the event registration form.  Dress code for the procession is dark lounge suit + doctoral hat.
