Have you ever had an interest in the plays of William Shakespeare, and why they have left such a lasting legacy on theatre and literature? Would you like to know more about his work, but have found the material difficult to approach on your own? Have you secretly been waiting for the perfect opportunity to perform a dramatic reading of Twelfth Night, Hamlet, or Henry IV?
For a deep dive into the world of Shakespearean drama, please join us for Reading Shakespeare, a series of events where we perform readings of the complete plays by England’s most famous poet and playwright. In each session, we will read one of Shakespeare’s plays in its entirety. All participants are invited to act as readers, but you are also welcome to simply come along and enjoy the plays.

You are also to welcome to join us spontaneously without signing up, but it would be great to have a rough idea about the number of participants. Attendance is free.
Participants are encouraged to bring a copy of the play to the reading if possible. If you are planning to come to multiple readings, The Norton Shakespeare, which collects all of Shakespeare’s plays, might be a good investment (you can get it for about 60 euros).
