Digitization (Information Technology) is playing an essential role in our daily life, from finance to healthcare, communication to transport, and military to entertainment. By prioritizing trustworthiness, we can maximize the benefits of AI while minimizing risks and potential harms in our daily lives. Welcome to listen to international speakers at the summer school on 24 and 25 August 2023. Let's discuss the challenges and opportunities of trustworthy AI.

Trustworthy AI is crucial in the information technology area, for example in privacy protection, human-AI collaboration and global competitiveness. As AI technologies advance and play an increasingly central role in various aspects of our lives, ensuring their trustworthiness becomes essential to maintain ethical, legal, and societal standards. Trustworthy AI promotes reliable and ethical AI systems that individuals, organizations, and communities can trust.

Prioritizing trustworthiness can maximize the benefits of AI

By prioritizing trustworthiness, we can maximize the benefits of AI while minimizing risks and potential harms in our daily lives. In the summer school, we will discuss the challenges and opportunities for trustworthy AI.

To achieve trustworthy AI, developers, researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders need to work together to establish ethical guidelines, robust testing protocols, and regulatory frameworks.

In the summer school, we will include Trustworthy AI Technical (accuracy, reliability, robustness, resilience or security), Socio-Technical (explainability, interpretability, privacy, safety, managing bias) attributes of the AI systems along with Guiding Principles (fairness, accountability, transparency).

For trustworthy AI, the European Union is proposing the "AI Act," whereas the US has an EC order and AI risk management framework.
