Save the date for Tampere Peace Day 2024! This year Tampere Peace Day focuses on the theme of (Re)Searching Peace. With this theme, we encourage participants to critically re-imagine peace and ask how peace research and practice can adapt to pluralities of peace(s) and to the contested nature of defining peace.

Tampere Peace Research Institute (TAPRI), CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation (CMI), The Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission (Felm), and Finn Church Aid (FCA) are delighted to invite you to the second Tampere Peace Day.

Tampere Peace Day is an annual event, organized for the first time in 2023. The idea behind the initiative is to provide a dynamic and inclusive space for peace researchers and peace practitioners within the wider peace and conflict field to engage in meaningful discussions and dialogues about current challenges to mediation and peacebuilding, bridging the gaps between theory and practice and supporting exchange of innovative ideas and approaches. By fostering such interactions, it hopes to contribute to better, well-informed peace practices and improved research, ensuring it is up to date with, and informed by, practical experiences and challenges.

Further information and updates on the agenda and speakers will soon be published on Tapri's website.
