As the first education organisation in Finland, Tampere University’s procurement data for 2022 has been published via the OpenProcurement.fi service.

The OpenProcurement.fi service provides citizens and companies with the opportunity to look for information on how public funds are being spent. The service is provided by Hansel Oy.

Tampere University has published its purchase invoice data, that is, payment traffic based on paid invoices for 2022. All purchase invoices can be inspected right down to the posting row level. The service shows the parties from which products and services have been procured from as well as when these procurements were made. Only those payment recipients, who have business ID, that is, companies, are included in the data. Personal data will not be published. The OpenProcurement.fi service is open until further notice and will publish purchase invoice data for the previous year in late spring.

The materials used to create the OpenProcurement.fi website will also be published in a machine-readable format through the national portal for open data, avoindata.fi/en.

“It is great that we are, as a large procurement unit and as a user of public money, now able to publish the procurements as a whole. This supports the realisation of our important value of transparency and the principles of good governance. We are pleased that the publication of the procurement data has been welcomed positively,” says Procurement Senior Specialist Kim Nordling.
