About me
I am a doctoral researcher in Gender Studies as part of the GenDis (Gendered Chronic Disease, Embodied Differences and Biomedical Knowledge) project funded by Kone Foundation and Research Council of Finland. My project interrogates how the entity of Fibromyalgia is handled by pertinent stakeholders in the Finnish healthcare context, and unpacks how fibromyalgia is conceptualized by these actors, respectively and in relation to one another.
My research interests are feminist, queer and crip studies; and as such I'm most invested in examining and nuancing categories and practices that are deemed self-evident. Since activism is a core part of who I am, imagining and enacting justice are at the heart of my research.
