Mika Kylänen

I work as Senior Lecturer in Service Management, particularly in Hospitality Management. I have a background of about 20 years in the field of regional and business development. Also, I have worked as an academic researcher. I have over 10 years of work experience from three Universities of Applied Sciences in Rovaniemi, Lahti, and now in Tampere. 

I work at the School of Business and Media, both in Bachelor's and Master's Degree Programmes. My scientific and educational background is in Administrative Sciences and Organization Studies, and Business Studies. I have a Licentiate's Degree, and a Professional Teacher's Degree. I am also a Doctoral Researcher at the Tampere University. 

My professional expertise areas cover business and service design, and foresight. I am also specialized in customer experience management, experience economy, value creation, and agile development methodologies. My academic research interest deals with coopetition, simultaneuos competition and cooperation in inter-firm relationships.
