Aerosol Instrumentation and Emissions

In the Aerosol Instrumentation and Emissions group, we apply modern aerosol instrumentation to study aerosol emissions from different modes of transport including regulated and unregulated sources. We develop novel methods and instruments for characterizing aerosol particles, ranging from inexpensive monitoring techniques to real-time elemental or composition analysis of particles. Apart from emissions, these techniques are used in various research fields, such as air quality and atmospheric processes.
