The project examines climate activism from the perspective of young people's opportunities for political participation and the interaction practices intertwined with these processes. The research is conducted as part of a network of Nordic projects that investigate and provide important information on community and the possibilities and obstacles of democracy in contemporary society.
Theoretically, the project draws on ethnomethodology, social constructionism, and Fricker's theory of epistemic injustice. In terms of research methods, the project combines conversation-analytic interaction research with interviews and participatory observation as well as quasi-experimental research.
