Funded by the European Union
Tampere University
Duration of project2.9.2024–1.9.2026
Area of focusSociety

This project centres the voices of refugee youth. Using participatory research approaches, arts-based methods such as poetry and visual art are used to better understand the transition to adulthood of refugee youth in Finland. All participants in this project arrived in Finland seeking asylum without a parent or guardian. By prioritising their perspectives, the outcomes of this project will have the capacity to inform responsive policy and practice to support these youth as they transition to adulthood – as informed by their voices.
